Brief Bio
Eunji Lee is a postdoctoral researcher for the On the Move project at the Care @ Distance - Remote & Prehospital Digital Health research group in the Biomedical Signals and Systems division of the Electrical Engineering department at Chalmers University of Technology. She holds a BSc in Information Technology, an MSc in Health Informatics, and a PhD in Informatics. She is a member of SFMI (The Swedish Association for Medical Informatics) and NorHIT (The Norwegian Association for Health Informatics), and a working group member of HOFMI (Human and Organisational Factors of Medical Informatics) and EVAL (Assessment of Health Information Systems) at EFMI (European Federation of Medical Informatics). She has interdisciplinary expertise in the design of information systems, health informatics, and service design. Her research experience in information technology includes the design and evaluation of mobile health applications, understanding complexities in emerging care services through a service design approach, and examining the opportunities and challenges of digital health initiatives experienced by the involved actors. She collaborates closely with health services at various levels (from primary to specialist), within various systems (from referral systems to personalized home care and pre-hospital systems), and in several countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and South Korea). Currently, she is researching the factors that determine the success of remote monitoring/care implementations.

SCOPE

This session will explore innovative approaches to designing monitoring systems that can enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Topics will include service design, user-centred design, integration of wearable and/or IoT technologies, synthetic data and sandboxes, and the role of artificial intelligence in optimizing monitoring and diagnostics. The session will also address challenges such as interoperability and usability in diverse healthcare settings. We welcome contributions that present case studies, novel frameworks, and design methodologies aimed at creating effective, scalable, and accessible monitoring solutions for various types of patients or general population.
