Brief Bio
Dr. Mamoon Rashid is currently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Information Communication and Technology, Bahrain Polytechnic, Bahrain. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Engineering, Punjabi University, Punjab, India in the field of Medical Imaging Informatics. He is carrying 10+ years of teaching experience at university level as an Assistant Professor. He has published 150+ papers indexed in SCI/SCIE journals and conferences of international repute with JCR Impact Factor of 300+. His area of interest includes Data Analytics, Computational Medical Imaging- (fMRI, MRI, 3D-Amplified MRI, CT Scan Imaging) and Computer Vision. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor in journals of BMC Medical Imaging. He served as a Lead Guest Editor in many special issues which are indexed in Web of Science. He also edited two books on Medical Informatics which are indexed in Scopus.

Brief Bio
Dr. Mohammad Arif Siddiqui is currently working as an Associate Professor at School of Information Communication and Technology, Bahrain Polytechnic, Bahrain. He received his Ph.D.in Computer Science from the Faculty of Science, Integral University, India. He is carrying 18+ years of teaching experience at university level as an Associate/Assistant Professor. He is Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Huawei Certified Network Associate (HCIA) and Juniper Network Certified Associate (JNCIA). His area of interest includes Computer Networks, Network Security and Cyber Security. He is currently serving as an Editor in Chief for the International Journal of Computer and Information Technology.

SCOPE
The fields of medical imaging informatics and biomedical engineering play an important role in the effectiveness of present-day healthcare systems. Advancement in terms of technologies like metaverse, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and internet of things contribute greatly in various healthcare applications. In support to these technologies, computational intelligence methodologies help in addressing complex medical imaging problems and play a major role in imaging techniques like Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) etc. In this special issue, articles are expected where computational intelligence research and technologies are applied for medical image analysis for insights.
