From the Airport: By Public Transportation There is a regular express bus service lines, specifically X1, X2, X3 and X4. To get to Valletta, you can use the X4 line. Bus line X4 This bus goes from Valletta to Birzebbugia stopping to the Airport in its route: Il-Belt Velletta, Il-Floriana, Il-Hamrun, Il-Marsa, San Vincenz/Luqa, Hal Farrug, Hal Luqa (Airport), Il-Gudja, Hal Far and Birzebbuga from 5:25h until 22:35h. Journey time from the airport to the city center is around 25 minutes depending on traffic and time of day. Valletta is the first stop and the hotel is an 8-minute walk away. Pre-paid tickets can be purchased at fixed rates from a booth in the Airport’s Welcomers’ Hall. The estimated fare from the Airport to Valletta is of €15:00 per vehicle. Transfers with fixed prices can be managed through the booking system here. Alternatively, transfer arrangements can be made on the booking desk in the baggage reclaim area. Rent-a-Car Renting a car in Malta is relatively cheap compared to other major European destinations. Moreover, there are many international and local car rental companies that operate in Malta and most of them have booths set up at the airport. You can pre-book this service online and get the keys once you arrive in the Welcomers’ Hall. It is also possible to book this service once you arrive in Malta instead of doing it in advance. Directions to the Conference Venue: From the airport, go straight across the roundabout, following signs for Valletta. Turn right at the second roundabout and left at the third. At the end of the hill, turn left and then right into the main road. Drive north towards Valletta, passing Portes des Bombes, towards Floriana and then towards Marsamxett Harbour.
